The Edwards Building
Located adjacent to the Hyatt Regency, Riverside Convention Center, Granite Building, and Radisson Hotel, the historic Edwards Building is about to undergo a planned $24 million certified historic redevelopment. The 7-story, 144,00 sq ft long vacant building will be transformed to include 114 loft-style apartments on floors 2-7, street level retail and co-working space, and a rooftop restaurant and lounge with views of overlooking the center city skyline.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this project will be one of the largest certified rehabilitations to take place in Rochester’s history, and the most significant project to incorporate geothermal heating and cooling into the building’s operation. Roughly 110 wells ranging from 450-500 feet deep will be drilled to house the geothermal piping. Planning is nearly complete and construction is scheduled to begin in Q2 2018 with completion targeted for Q4 2019.
